What is anti-ligature? Anti-ligature is a term used to show that a certain product will not allow anything to be tied to it which could result in self-harm. Mental health centres use anti-ligature products as much as possible in products like curtain tracks, blinds, soap dispensers, clothes rails etc. Unfortunately, items like a cords and bedsheets are sometimes used to tie on to said products in an attempt to cause self-harm which could result in injury or death. Our anti-ligature products use magnetised brackets which prevent these products from being an accessory to self-harm by releasing from the brackets when stress and weight is put on to the product preventing them from being used as an accessory to self-harm.
